The information below will provide you with information about our services and the fees we charge.
Mediation:
$4,000 retainer/$325 per hour for attorney and mediator Patricia Nelson
Mediation is basically where you and the other party sit down with a neutral attorney (who should have at least 100 hours of formal mediation training), learn the law so you know what could happen if you go to court, and work out all the issues that need to be handled in your case. Attorney Nelson has mediated countless cases and has found that even the most contentious parties can mediate. If you mediate, you never have to go to court or fill out any documents — all of those tasks are handled by our law firm. To get started, call the office and ask for a mediation packet and present it to your spouse/partner. If you are both interested, you each must call the office to set up a free 15-minute conference call with Ms. Nelson during which she will explain the mediation process. Both parties must participate in the conference call. If you both decide to move forward after the conference call, we will ask you to send in the retainer (we will decide how to credit this during our first session), we will set up your first session and we will send out a second packet of information so you are both completely prepared for the first session.
Full-Service Litigation:
$5,000 retainer/$325 per hour for attorney Patricia Nelson or $275 per hour for attorney Kinna Crocker
For those who do not feel any of the other options are appropriate, this is the traditional sort of attorney-client relationship where our family law attorneys vigorously advocate for you. We strive to get the case resolved fairly and in a reasonable amount of time so long as that is what the client wants. (Not all are ready to plow ahead.) With full-service litigation, your lawyer is your voice to the other side and the court. All you need to do is complete whatever homework projects we give you and show up where and when you need to show up.

Unbundled Services:
$2,000 retainer/$325 per hour for attorney Patricia Nelson or $275 for attorney Kinna Crocker
You only pay for what you need and not all the other services that go along with full-service representation. Officially, you would be representing yourself, but our law firm would be a behind-the-scene force helping you throughout the process.
