Ms. Crocker earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and English from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While at USF, Ms. Crocker represented Human Rights Advocates at the 58th Session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in Switzerland, where she presented an oral statement of her written intervention on violations of human rights. Discovering her interest in Family Law during law school, Ms. Crocker published a comment in the 2002 Journal of Law and Social Challenges entitled "Neglecting the Child: The Role of Race and Sexual Orientation in Adoption Proceedings." She has been recognized for her outstanding achievements as the recipient of distinguished awards, including the Foundation of the State Bar of California Imelda Rosenthal Scholarship, the Arthur C. Zief Jr. Scholarship and the 2004 UNITY Bar Community Service Award. Ms. Crocker enjoys volunteering her time as the Sacramento Chapter Co-Chair of Marriage Equality USA. Ms. Crocker also participated in the 2004 Center for Youth Citizenship's Gordon D. Schaber Mock Trial and Moot Court Competition as an attorney coach. Ms. Crocker has a standing column on family law issues in Jane and Jane magazine and often is a presenter on family law issues at community events. She is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar Council on Access and Fairness, the Sacramento County Bar Association Family Law Section and SacLEGAL. When she is not working as an attorney, Ms. Crocker delights in singing and playing with her garage band "The Crepes." |
